Multi-Generational, Multi-Cultural Church Committed to Biblical Truth and the Community
Summit Church: Doing Life Together! We are a multicultural, multi-generational, non-denominational Christian Church dedicated to the truth found in the Bible and serving the diverse needs of the great people of our community through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Our mission is straightforward and simple: Love God and Love People.
The Scriptures
We believe the Bible was written by divinely inspired men and is the inerrant and inspired word of God, and that both the Old and New Testaments are perfect in the original writings and are the supreme and final authority for faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Proverbs 30:5-6, 2 Peter 1:20)
God
We believe there is only one true and living God. He is our Creator and the One to whom all praise and glory are given. He is perfect in all ways and in all things. Through God, all things are possible. (John 4:24, 1 John 5:7)
The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in His eternal existence as God; His incarnation and Virgin Birth; his sinless life, his death on the cross as the substitutionary atonement for our sin; His literal bodily resurrection from the dead; His present ministry of intercession in heaven; and His personal future return to earth. (John 1)
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity, convicts people of sin, regenerates, baptizes, indwells, seals, and sets apart believers unto a holy life. He keeps and empowers believers day by day and is the Teacher of the word of God and the guide for daily living. (Mark 16-17; John 16:7-11, Acts 2:4, 10:46, 19:6; 1 Corinthians 12:8-10, 14:5).
The Trinity
We believe the Trinity exists in three co-equal and co-eternal Persons: Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three Persons are one God, having precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfection. (1 John 5:7 KJV, John 16:7-11)
Man
We believe that God created Adam and Eve in His image, but they sinned when tempted by Satan. In union with Adam, human beings are sinners by nature and by choice, alienated from God and under His wrath. Only through God’s saving work in Jesus Christ can we be rescued, reconciled, renewed, and saved. (Genesis 1:27, Romans 5:12, 6:23)
Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace, a gift of God apart from works. Salvation involves repentance, a turning from one’s own way to God’s way, and seeking forgiveness for one’s sin. Salvation is through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. All who receive Jesus Christ are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and become the children of God. This true salvation will be manifested by a changed life. Grace through faith is the way we are saved, how we are changed, and the door that gives us eternity with Jesus. (John 3:16, 10:9; Acts 4:12; Romans 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:9; Hebrews 5:9).
The Future
We believe in the personal, visible bodily return of Jesus Christ to Earth. The bodily resurrection of the just to the eternal abode in the glory of God’s presence, and the bodily resurrection of those who rejected Christ to judgment and everlasting punishment in the lake of fire. (Matthew 24:30; Mark 8:35; Luke 21:26, 27; II Thessalonians 4:16, 17; Titus 2:13; Revelation 19:7-9, 20)

At Summit Church, we believe this once-in-a-lifetime experience of baptism doesn’t have to be a mystery. Together, we’ll celebrate this extraordinary step into your journey of faith, hope, and love. When candidates receive Jesus Christ, baptism becomes a public confession of an internal change. The Apostle Paul said in Romans chapter 6:5, If we have been united with him [Jesus] like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection.
At Summit Church, we baptize believers every August in the Farmington River! There literally is nothing more beautiful, anointed, and perfect than this! Water baptism is an outward gesture of an inward transformation. The baptism is typically a visible witness to the regeneration that has already taken place in the heart of the believer who has accepted Christ. It is a symbolic representation of Christ being submerged in the grave for three days, so the candidates are also submerged. The baptism confers our membership in the Body of Christ and the Christian community.
Baptism also signifies that to be a Christian, one must be adopted, nurtured, loved, and guided by a church family. Baptism is most effective when it is made clear that it is an act of the whole congregation. Baptism is nothing less than the birth and creation of the church, created anew in each generation by the loving, powerful act of God.
(Matthew 28:18-20) Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Summit Church offers biblical, personal, and confidential counselling. Life can present a multitude of challenges and crises, and you don’t have to go through them alone. Dr. Michael Morawski, DMin. Christian Counselor uses God's Word to heal, set free, and deliver people from their spiritual and moral struggles.
Biblical counselling is taking the truth of God’s word and speaking it in love, with the goal of helping people grow in godliness in a non-judgmental and safe environment.
Biblical counselling is distinct from other forms of counselling in that we believe Scripture is sufficient to speak to all of life’s issues. God’s holy word forms and guides our understanding of who we are, why we were created (purpose), and why we do what we do (motivation).
Pastor Mike's personal approach to Bible-based counselling offers a caring atmosphere in which you can clear your conscience, receive lasting transformation, obtain peace, and receive the help you need.
In times of extreme distress, Pastor Mike will show you that God is ever present and walks with you as you make your way out of confusion and pain. Together, you will discover it is God who created you and sustains you.
In His infinite grace and mercy, God longs to fill you with love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, and self-control. Apart from Jesus, life doesn’t make much sense. The Lord does not want you to suffer any longer. Call today and let your time with Pastor Mike lead you to a life of wholeness and healing.

No Need For 1st Time Visitors to Bring an Offering
As one other visitor remarked, “No money issues here to encumber the service; just come as you are and feel the love of God!” In fact, we don’t even want you to feel you have to bring an offering to the first service. Just enjoy God’s word, His people, friendly fellowship, and community.
What to Wear
When you visit Summit Church, you will see a range of attire that's as diverse as the church family itself. Some will dress in casual street clothes (jeans), and others will be business casual. The key word is casual—all year round.
God cares more about how your heart is dressed, rather than your outward appearance. We are committed to welcoming you just as you are, and encourage you to dress however you feel most comfortable for our gatherings. There is plenty of seating in the sanctuary.
